Community Guidelines
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Nili is about good nights out and meeting people at them. These guidelines apply everywhere on Nili: your profile, guest lists, pokes, chats, party listings, and at the party itself. They're part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Consent comes first
- A poke is an invitation, not an obligation. If someone doesn't poke back, leave it there.
- No means no, and so does silence. Stop when someone says stop, goes quiet, unmatches or blocks you.
- Don't pressure anyone to chat, share photos or contact details, meet up, drink or leave a party with you.
- Don't try to reach someone another way after they've blocked you, including through a new account or a friend.
2. Respect everyone
- No harassment, bullying, insults or repeated unwanted messages.
- No hate: nothing that attacks or demeans people for their caste, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, region, language, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or body.
- Disagree if you like, but without abuse, slurs or threats.
3. Sexual content
- No nudity or sexual content in profile photos, bios, party posters or listings.
- Never send sexual messages or images to someone who hasn't clearly asked for them.
- Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent. This is a crime, and we report it.
- Anything that sexualises minors is banned outright and reported to the authorities.
- No offering or asking for paid sexual services.
4. Threats and violence
- No threats, intimidation or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others.
- Don't praise or promote violence, weapons or dangerous behaviour.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 first. Then tell the host or venue staff, and us.
5. Other people's information
- Don't share anyone's phone number, address, workplace, photos or chats without their permission.
- Don't screenshot a chat to mock or expose someone.
- Don't photograph or film people at a party in a way they wouldn't expect or agree to, and respect a host's no-photos rule.
- Hosts: guests' details are for running your party only.
6. Be real, no scams
- Use your own name and your own photos. Don't pretend to be someone else.
- No spam, chain messages, promotions or links to other services in chats.
- No scams: never ask people for money, OTPs, passwords or payment details. Nili will never ask for them in a chat.
- Only buy and send tickets through Nili. Offers to sell tickets outside the app are often fake, and touting isn't allowed.
7. At the party
- Follow the host's rules, the venue's rules and the instructions of staff and security.
- Look out for each other. If someone seems unwell or unsafe, find staff.
- No illegal drugs, and no spiking drinks. Ever.
- Keep your QR code to yourself and don't help anyone get in without a ticket.
8. For hosts
- Describe your party honestly, including prices, age limits, dress codes and refund terms.
- Run a safe event: keep to your capacity and make sure guests know who to go to for help.
- Treat every guest fairly at the door. Refuse entry for your stated rules or safety, never for someone's caste, religion, gender, orientation or other protected traits.
9. Blocking and reporting
If someone makes you uncomfortable, block them from your chat with them. Once you block someone, you won't see each other on guest lists anywhere on Nili and your chat ends. They aren't told that you blocked them.
To report a person, a message or a party, write to safety@niliparty.app with their name, the party and what happened; screenshots help. We look at every report, keep the reporter's identity private and act quickly on anything that puts someone at risk. You can also contact our Grievance Officer (below).
10. What happens if you break these
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn you, limit features such as guest lists and chats, cancel your tickets or party listings, or suspend or close your account. Serious harm, such as threats, sexual content involving minors or sharing intimate images, leads to an immediate ban and a report to the police. Hosts and venues can also refuse you entry or remove you from a party. See section 12 of the Terms for how suspensions work.
